(From the book) Cinescopes

I’m now reading “Cinescopes”, a book that reveals your character through your favorite movies.
This book is a really fun book to read.
So basically our most favorite movies really show who we really are.
There is a list of any kind of movies in the back pages, alphabetically listed, and it is very updated.
You can even find Men of Honor or The Dark Knight there.
Simply pick your 10 most favorite movies, each movie has a code.
The code will lead you to your character review.

And according through the code, I am The Chosen Adventurer.

Chosen Adventurers are driven to learn more about the world, fueled by a strong sense of curiosity. They tend to be open-minded and like to feel the blood pumping through their veins. Adventurers are daring, cultured, and bold.

Fact: Intinya satu, emang gw termasuk orang yang kepo.

Personality Strengths: No matter the situation. Adventurers get the job done. Times may be hard, but their character and integrity always stay the same. Adventurers are at their best when they can channel their strength to overcome an obstacle. Adventurers are open to new experiences, and they’re extremely confident when meeting new people. They respect the diversity of the world and treat the earth with a sense of reverence. This is why they readily find wise souls to mentor them in their careers and life. If someone needs rescuing, and Adventurer is the one to do the job.

Fact: I can always handle any tasks given to me. Dan terlalu sibuk ngurusin orang lain, enggak bisa liat konflik sedikit, gw pengen ikut campur dan ngeberesin konflik itu.

Personality Weaknesses: Adventurers find themselves vulnerable in emotional situations. They’re used to getting their way by being headstrong. This attitude works for them most of the time, but it isn’t always appropriate in delicate emotional situations. When someone close to them craves empathy, an Adventurer can become very matter-of-fact. Their demeanor comes across a gruff even though they don’t mean to be.

Fact: I am (yes) vulnerable and (yes) a bit sensitive. But sometimes I hide it so people would still think that I’m tough.

They are so quick to take on new skills that other people seem painfully slow in comparison. “What’s taking so long?!” is a thought that often rushes through their minds. If the television is on the fritz, they’re tempted to throw it away before tinkering with it. This impatience translates into a quick temper that can also be directed at those around them. That’s not to say that they’d throw a person in the garbage – but it depends on the person.

Fact: Impatience, I am. Haha. Suka gregetan dan jadi cranky sendiri kalo liat orang yang enggak ngerti kalo diajarin atau dibilangin. Suka kesel kalo people dont meet my expectations dari segi kualitas.

Their Deepest Secret: They actually worry a lot. They may appear to have it all together, but on the inside, they’re unraveling from stress. Adventurers really do want to vent their frustrations, doubts, and concerns to a trusted partner, but they seldom do. This is because they are proud individuals who don’t like to think of themselves as weak in any way.

Fact: Emang enggak gitu yakin sama diri sendiri sebenernya. Tapi dari luar orang harus liat bahwa gw bisa.. hoho. Makanya banyak orang yang judge gw dari luar itu enggak perdulian, itu semua hanya kamuflase untuk menutupi kekurangan. LOL.

At work: They love to push themselves in their careers, and they tend to achieve a lot in a short amount of time. They have loads of discipline, and they’re great at planning ahead. Adventurers project a self-assured quality that catches the eye of their superiors. Bosses tend to admire their firm character.

With friends: Friends see Adventurers as friendly, soulful, and intelligent. They can act as motivators: an Adventurer may force you to spend the night in the freezing desert to enjoy the stars, and despite your initial resistance, you’ll thank them for it later.

Fact: Sebagai temen mungkin gw suka kelewat tega dan terlampau pedes kalo ngomong. Tapi most of them bakal balik dan say thanks.

Friends can always count on Adventurers to be trustworthy; they never reveal more than they should about their friends, and they always say the right thing to everyone. You certainly won’t need to kick them under the dinner table; more likely, they’ll be kicking you.

Friends can’t always count on Adventurers to remain upbeat. During a road trip, they may give someone the silent treatment because they’re not driving fast enough. If the waiter is taking too long to bring the food, an Adventurer may be tempted to leave the restaurant.

Fact: Iya banget suka ngambek! Haha.. bukan ngambek sih, tapi males aja liat orang yang enggak bener kerjanya. Masa udah gede masih musti dikasih tau dan diajarin. Orang udah tau kalo gw ditanya enggak ngasih pendapat, tandanya gw males, atau udah strongly disagree. Hoho.

Film favorite gw yang akhirnya menentukan karakter asli gw:
Cars, The Dark Knight, Fantastic Four, Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, Iron Man, Jurassic Park, The Lost World, Spiderman 3, Stardust, 300, Titanic, Transformers, dan X-Men.

Haha.. gw enggak pernah sadar bahwa ternyata I’m a huge fan of heroic-theme movies. Atau yang berbau petualangan dengan ending jagoan menang dengan bahagia. Hahaha... Padahal di antara list film favorit gw juga banyak yang berbau drama atau komedi seperti Amelie, Babel, Narnia, Click, Devil Wears Prada, Garden State, Little Miss Sunshine, Lost in Translation, Love Me If You Dare, Marie Antoinette, Men of Honor, Punch Drunk Love, Reality Bites, The Simpsons Movie, Sin City, The Virgin Suicides, dll.
